Caseificio Montoso was founded in 1928 by our great, great, grandfather, Carlo Colomba. He was born with a flair and a passion for cheese making. Using milk from his own cows and from his neighbour’s, he began manufacturing the dairy products for which he became famous, marketed under the Carlo Del Clat label.

Caseificio Montoso can be found in the vicinity of the small town of Bagnolo Piedmont. Nestled beneath the foothills of the magnificent Alps of Piedmont, and far from any source of pollution, the particular lush green pastures found here are ideal for the production of our artisan dairy products.
